So what does this title really mean. Well, there’s no beating around the bush with this one… it means exactly what it says.

If your site is NOT an order-pulling, money-sucking mean machine then it’s not really worth promoting your product, whether it’s a killer product or not.

It is vital that your site has a well-written and extremely powerful sales letter that will hook your prospects and reel them in like a fish.

Your goal is to walk your prospect through your sales letter straight to your order page where they will be so excited, they would have already whipped out their credit card from their wallets.

“Your Site MUST Influence Visitors To Buy”

Now ask yourself this… “I have an amazing product but do I really have a killer converting website?”

If you’re not really sure, take a look at your web stats:

- How many unique visitors did your site receive last month?
- What’s the average time spent on your sales page per visitor?
- How many people clicked onto your order page but didn’t order?
- Most importantly, how many visitors actually ordered?

Armed with this information, you can now look at how well your site is performing and how you can improve your site’s conversion rate.

As you probably well know, the industry standard conversion rate is 1% which is not bad, but then again not that good either.

If your site is converting under 1% then it needs serious and immediate attention because you’re losing a lot of money, more so if you have a high traffic site.

Let’s just take a look at a quick example, so you can see it more clear in black and white.

Let’s say your site converts a 0.5% and you only receive 100 unique visitors per day. Your product sells at $97.

This means that you’re roughly selling half a product a day, an average of 15 sales per month, right?

100 visitors per day x 30 days = 3,000 visitors per month.
3,000 x 0.5% = 15 (15 sales per month)

15 sales x $97 = Monthly income of $1,455

This is definitely NOT a killer site. It would need major time spent on creating a high converting sales letter.

Now, let’s say you have your current sales letter scrapped and a brand new one created that converts at 1.5%

How does this affect your monthly income? Let’s take a look.

100 visitors per day x 30 days = 3,000 visitors per month.
3,000 x 1.5% = 45 (45 sales per month)

45 sales x $97 = Monthly income of $4,365

$4,365 - $1,455 = $2,910

That’s nearly an extra $3,000 per month without generating any extra traffic to your site.

Do you see how powerful a well-written sales letter can be.

It doesn’t matter what kind of product you’re selling and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a marketing ‘How To’ product.

You could be selling a product to do with travel, gardening, pets, music, sport, dating, cooking, it doesn’t matter.

But what does matter is, if you want to see a pile of orders in your inbox every morning when you wake up, then your sales copy has to be nothing short of order-pulling.

It MUST be a high sales converter otherwise you’re leaving a pile of cash on the table which should really be in your bank account.

So what conversion rate would I class to be a killer site… 1.5%?

No… 1.5% is good, but there is room for improvement.

What about 2%?

Now we’re getting somewhere. 2% is a great conversion, obviously 2.5% is even better and I’d be pretty happy if my site was converting between 2% and 2.5% but personally, I still wouldn’t class it as a killer site.

This is what I like to aim for… the 3% mark.

Now we’re definitely talking. I’d class a site converting 3% of it’s visitors into paying customers as a killer site.

Personally, I prefer NOT to use sales letter generators but to write my sales letters from complete scratch starting with a blank piece of paper.

I find that this gives me great scope and does not limit my creative juices as if I were to use a generator.

My websites have seen conversion rates as high as 3.8% which I feel is pretty darn good.

Along with a powerful sales letter, it is advisable to have a quality set of graphics, so your site likes professional.

If your site has a quality look to it, then your potential customers are more than likely to think that your product is of high quality.

This can also improve sales dramatically because seeing a picture of your product makes it look like a real physical product that they can get their hands on.

People like to see things before they buy. So when you show them a picture of your product, this will increase it’s perceived value inside your prospects head and this will increase your sales.

By using world-class website graphics, some marketers have experienced a conversion rate increase of over 400%.

A quality looking website, pleasing to the eye and an amazingly powerful sales letter when put together, will create a site that will influence prospects to buy.

James had a way of getting right to the point without mincing words or beating around the bush. We should all be like that.

I would like to discuss what the Word is saying about receiving the Word of God.
I believe most Christians would say that they would want their faith to work or have
faith that produces. I believe God wants us to walk in faith even more than we do.

We know that without faith it is impossible to please God.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

We could infer by this that it takes faith to please God. Have you ever wondered why this is? It takes some effort on our part to accomplish this. Many people say we just automatically have faith as God has given to each man the measure of faith.

Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

God has given to each of us the measure or ability it takes to fulfill the plan and purpose of our calling on our lives. We see this if we read on.

4. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5. so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;

We still have a responsibility to receive God’s Word and act on it as James said. We have to be doers of the Word.

Let’s take this one step at a time.
We have to put away the things that would cause us not to receive God’s Word. In other words the obvious things or sometimes not so obvious things that can pull us away from God’s will. Then he said to receive with meekness the implanted Word. Have you stopped to consider that we have to receive the Word of God? We have to receive it with meekness. This is talking about a humble attitude toward God. As a matter of fact God’s Word can only be received with meekness. You can’t receive it any other way. Strong’s concordance says meekness is a filling up. You receive and get filled up with the Word of God. This is a process, we can call this implantation. This is a very literal description of what happens to us when we receive the Word of God. God’s Word is planted in our hearts when we receive it.

We have the choice to make whether we receive it or not. It’s always presented to us.
Faith is always produced when we hear, but we have to take the next step and act on what we have heard.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
17. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

And as the Apostle James said … 22. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

I would like to look at how Mary received the Word when presented with the Words of God by the Angle Gabriel.

Luke 1:26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,

30. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31. “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32. “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33. “And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” 34. Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 35. And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36. “Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37. “For with God nothing will be impossible.” 38. Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

The angle Gabriel was sent to Mary to deliver the Word of God. He gave her this message; And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus; Mary perplexed asked how this could happen since she didn’t know a man and the angle responded and told her “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

Mary’s response was 38. Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

Looking at this section of Scripture we see that Mary received the Word of God spoken through the angle Gabriel. Have you considered what would have happened if she had not received it. She had a choice to make, we know that God sees the beginning from the end and knew what would happen however she still had the choice to make.

She received God’s Word. We know this because of what she said to the angle Gabriel.
Let it be to me according to your word.
God’s Word was implanted in her. Gabriel said The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

Some people would say she really didn’t have a choice in this, however God’s Word is full of people who did not receive the Word of God, and because of their disobedience suffered the consequences. I am not saying this to bring fear but to make aware there are consequences to our actions. God wants to bless us and in order to do that we have to follow His plan and do things His way, anything else is just us doing what we want. It’s not that he doesn’t want to bless us but He really won’t override our will. If we won’t follow after Him and put ourselves in a place where He can bless us then we suffer for our actions. There is a reason He wants us to do things a certain way. We might not always understand it but it is always for our benefit.

As our opening Scripture says, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

This is something Mary did. She received with meekness this Holy Word of God.
This Word was implanted within her. She received the Word of God and because of her obedience became the mother to the Savior of the world. Glory to God.

John said this … John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

What word was the Apostle John talking about? God’s Word was spoken to Mary, received by her, implanted within her very being and conceived within her the Holy child Jesus.

Mary said let it be to me according to your word. Mary had God’s Word implanted within her, this happened because she received it with meekness.
Have you ever wondered why Jesus was called the Word of God, because He is!

God’s Word is received the same way for us today as it was for Mary 2000 years ago.
You hear the Word, you make the choice to receive it and let it become implanted within your heart.

Jesus said in Johns Gospel … John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

I would like to encourage you to take the Word of God and let it become implanted within your very being. God’s promises are fulfilled this way.

Jesus said in John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

God’s Word is not just another set of printed words on a page they are spirit and they are life. Let God’s Word take hold and grow within you and see the results of life.

The first step is to receive the living Word Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord.
Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Do you want to be a joint heir with Christ?
If so, I urge you to earnestly pray the following prayer and receive the Word of God.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your word says, “…and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” (Jn.6:37),

So I know You won’t cast me out, but You take me in, And I thank you for it. You said in your Word, “whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Ro. 10:13).

I am calling on Your name, So I know You have saved me now, You also said, “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.” (Ro.10:9,10).

I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, Because Your Word says, “… with the heart one believes to righteousness…” and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Cor. 5:21),

And I am saved! Thank You, Lord!
I can now truthfully say, I see myself as a born again child of God!

Do you believe that you are doing the best you can for your pet by buying a cat flea collar for her? I certainly do but have you noticed that most cat flea collars don’t seem to work? They don’t seem to last for a day let alone the three or four months that they claim they will. I’ve no idea why this is the case but I can suggest some different ways of dealing with the problem.

There is something else that I don’t like about cat flea collars, or dog flea collars. They contain poison to kill the fleas. This poison can affect humans by causing irritation or soreness. If these cat collars can do this to humans then they might have a similar effect on your pet and we wouldn’t want that would we?

So what else can you do about the fleas? You can try a shampoo that is designed to kill fleas, if your cat will let you that is. Personally I’ve never met a cat that likes getting wet, they turn into teeth and claw monsters, so trying to give her a shampoo is out of the question. Oh and if you do try this, don’t expect your cat to talk to you again for the next few days.

My vet recommends treating cats with a product that stops the fleas reproducing. You need to apply this substance to the back of your cat’s neck every 3 months for it to be effective. You have to remember that this does not kill the fleas but it does stop them multiplying so you should see a reduction in fleas after a few months and you can make this happen a lot quicker if you remove the fleas by combing them out.

If you love your cat as much as I love mine then you will find that there is nothing better than a daily use of the flea comb. I find it soothing and a great stress reliever. I think that my cat likes it too even though she will tell me off if I do it for too long. If your cat has a flea problem then you will see them on the comb. The hard part is catching and killing them before they vanish by jumping away. When you catch them you must crush them in between two hard surfaces.

Don’t forget to treat your carpets and furniture. Fleas will jump off your cat and live in your carpets and furniture until another animal comes along. It’s very important that you spray everything with a suitable anti-flea spray. Make sure that you follow the instructions on the label before you use it.

So if your pet has fleas then consider using some of the remedies that I’ve mentioned above before you go out and buy a cat flea collar.

In my opinion gaming notebooks have lost their once held special title. I can think back to when they were not so available. As I recall they were not really the greatest selling notebooks but being the most costly they were the greatest profit producing units. They were the kind of notebook computer everyone desired but the one they just could not purchase. They were like the show piece of what could be done with notebook technology. The best laptops on offer. I know we all got excited about them but the masses would highly unlikely buy laptops that were so high priced. Well established manufacturers have recently introduced their own gaming notebooks so its all changing as we speak.

Gaming notebooks are typically not affordable by everybody and international manufacturers know they can prosper from the big markup even more with their economies of scale. Its surely a great option to higher profits. Large manufacturers could certainly find it easier to get purchasers to buy these laptops. What would local system builders possibly do if their prices are undercut? With the capital at their disposal they can simply get rid of smaller competition. Multinational manufacturers can utilize their brand names to effortlessly win people over.

Amazingly, the portables they are making are some of the best laptops to present. This surely should provide a bit of hope to the littler resellers. People like the ability to customize because they can specify what’s most important to their requirements. I reckon the consumers that buy laptops for gaming usually know what they are looking for. Often these kinds of prospects are more concerned with the power rather than the design. From a buyers position this is all a great trend. For many of us, asking for help is a difficult concept. It can require a certain amount of vulnerability. We may feel as if we are admitting a weakness that the world would not have known about, had we not asked for help.

Ironically, it’s been my experience that people who are able to deliver well-positioned requests for help are seen as very strong individuals. When they demonstrate the humility to ask for help, they earn the respect of others. Recipients of a heartfelt request for help are usually honored by the request. In turn, we are strengthened by the very help that is provided.

One of my clients (we’ll call her Kira), recently made a shift in how she was interacting with her boss. When asked to prepare presentations, she assumed that she was expected to go away, develop the content, deliver it at the required meeting and then wait for feedback from her boss. Her boss was highly-regarded for the impact of his presentations, while Kira often felt that her presentations were lacking. When she took a hard look at how this approach was working for her, Kira was able to recognize that she was not fully leveraging her boss’s support. She could learn far more about creating presentations with “oomph” by walking-through a draft with her bossfocusing on the content plus her deliveryand obtaining feedback earlier in the process rather than at the back-end. So…she made the request for his upfront support.

The outcome? Her boss was delighted to coach Kira and was enthused about the opportunity to leverage his own strength by imparting presentation skills more effectively to her. By taking the time to work together on preparation for a number of Kira’s key presentations, she benefited from her boss’ thought process and was able to distinguish the critical components to enhance her own presentations. Kira’s presentations now have punch! She delivers with the confidence of someone who has great material and is well-prepared. She now rarely needs corrective feedback after-the-fact. Equally important is that in the very act of asking for help, Kira has demonstrated to her boss that she is effectively leveraging resources around her.

How are your assumptions about the appropriateness of asking for help getting in your way?

Some of us are uncomfortable asking for help because we believe that our request places burden on the other person. Ironically, we may be missing an opportunity to show others’ how we value and respect them. People who know you and think well of you, are often highly motivated to helpand with the reality of their busy work lives, they need to be asked. Furthermore, the more specific you can be about what you need from them, the easier it is for them to assist you.

In the past week, how have you asked for support from others? How clear was your request?

In recent research I conducted into the behaviours that leaders demonstrate when they successfully transition into new organizations, “asking for help” made it onto the list of “Top 10 Success Factors” for the critical first 90 days with a new employer.

In this era of hyper-awareness regarding business ethics, “asking for help” has become associated with high-integrity. People who are able to conduct an honest self-assessment and seek support in the areas where they lack expertise or need to draw on skills that don’t come naturally to them are seen as both humble and strong at the same time.

As an sole practitioner entrepreneur for the past 10 years, I have long prided myself on independence and self-sufficiency. I now recognize that relying purely on my own perspective and expertise can be quite limiting. In stepping up to ask for help more often, coupled with my commitment to work collaboratively, my circle expands exponentially through each connection created. The impact on my business has been nothing short of transformational.

So how can you go about asking for help?

When I broke-down the formula that works for me, I came up with the following steps:

1. Recognize that you can’t know or be able to do absolutely everything, all the time.

2. Trust that in asking for help, you are honouring the other person.

3. Decide to “‘just do it”. The more you agonize, the less likely you are to make the request.

4. Be specific. Make it easy for the other person to provide the help.

5. Express your gratitude. Let the other person know specifically how their support helped you.

6. Offer your sincere support in the future… not to “even the score”, do it because it genuinely means a lot to you to be able to help.

He will tell you that in order for you to create your ebook, you will need his $97 ebook software program. To market your ebook, you will have to buy his $197 marketing plan. It’s as simple as that. Wow, are you rich yet. No, but he sure is!

This is very much like the old mail order scams about stuffing envelopes. How many people fell for that trick? How does that scam work? Well you pay someone $24.95 for their informative booklet on mail order profits. When you get the booklet, you find out that in order for you to make money in mail order, you have to get people to send you $24.95 for your informative booklet on mail order profits. Sound familiar?

The only difference between that old scam and the new internet scams is the price. The idea is the same, it just costs you a lot more to get ripped off online.

So is there really any way for an honest person to make a legitimate income online?

Yes there is!

It won’t be overnight and it won’t be effortless. It takes time and work to build a business anywhere. Why would the internet be any different? If anyone tries to tell you different they are lying to you. They are just trying to get you to buy their informative booklet, translated = ebook.

If you want to build a business, you will have to be willing to work, research and be patient. Nothing happens instantly and no one is going to hand you the silver tablet with all the answers.

Once you have your site built and online, your next job will be to let the world know you are there. This is the biggest job there is. It is a never ending task. No one will even know your site exists if you don’t work on promoting it. Many people will try to sell you information on marketing too. There is plenty of free information out there all you have to do is look for it.

Finally, once you have your site up and running, you have people coming to your site, you will need a product or products to sell or what was the point? The easiest way to get products is through affiliate programs. These programs will allow you to sell someone else’s product and make commission off your sales. You don’t have to stock anything, you don’t have to collect money and you don’t have to deal with shipping.

There are many good companies out there that offer nice commissions on their products. It really doesn’t matter what you decide to create your website about. You will find someone selling something that will compliment your site.

So, back to the original question. How can I ‘really’ make money online? The answer is by working at it. Put your pie in the sky dreams away and start writing.
