Lately, the number of Europeans going online fancying a flutter of online gambling is staggering. In the last report released by Nielsen, there are actually more than 14 million Europeans who are devoting precious hours to online gambling, whis represents an important gamblers market beyond France’s “Casinos en ligne” and Spain’s “Casinos en linea”.

Europeans have certainly joined the trend when it comes to online casinos now popular in Eastern Europe countries as well. Of course, there are talks of Italy becoming a booming market for online gambling and you’d hear of booming gambling industry in the UK. Little is known though of how Eastern Europe is receiving online gambling. There is little news about online gamblers from Ukraine or Slovakia.

Jumping into the Online Gambling Wagon

It has only been lately that studies show that the market in Eastern Europe for online gambling has grown considerably. Online players from countries like Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovakia and Ukraine have certainly grown in major proportions.

This is not surprising, however. These people have their own computers and Internet access as well. With the hype created about online gambling, it is highly doubtful if Eastern Europe does not hear of the “magic” of online gambling.

Blame It on Broadband

The study shows that majority of these people logging into online casinos use high speed internet connection or broadband. This is reasonable since you wouldn’t really enjoy casino games if you have a very bad Internet connection. The broadband has made it possible for people to play online and enjoy it. Eight percent of Eastern Europe online casino players use broadband connection. The interesting thing to take note of though is that there are players who are not put off by slow Internet connection. These players still manage to play despite the slow connection.
