Unfortunately, not everything will be as smooth as adding another coat of paint when remodeling your kitchen or bath by remodeling your cabinets. A great 1st step would be applying some bleach to give your cabinets another look, if your cabinets are dirty. To make your cabinets look clean and bright, you might want to try some sort of solution of linseed oil, boiling water, and bleach. You could also strip off the finish or paint from your cabinets and put a new finish on, if you guess that bleaching just will not do it. If your cabinets are wood and you want to keep the grain or color, you could just re-stain it and apply some polyurethane to protect them. You could also pick out another paint color (obviously one that goes well with the rest of your home) and you will have a completely new look. You’d be amazed at what another color will do for your kitchen or bath.
