Verizon already launched the enhancements to its FiOS TV Twitter and Facebook widgets, this was added recently as a free interactive social TV application. With the updates, families who sign up for FIOS TV will be able to send Tweets and use an onscreen keyboard to update Facebook profile.

Verizon presented the FiOS TV and FiOS internet services which runs on its high-speed fiber-to-the-premises network. FIOS TV mainly concentrates on the new features to enhance customer experience of social marketing network. These new features let customers enjoy more ways to connect via FiOS TV service.

“The Widget Bazaar”, is a new store front launched last July together with other services such as Facebook, Twitter, ESPN, and internet video services. The aim of this program is to furnish additional features and applications to FiOS TV subscribers. Verizon will also open “The Widget Bazaar” soon for the third-party developers under revenue-sharing agreements.

Because of the strong competition of Triple Play offers by cable providers, Verizon is trying to equal to their offers. Plus they also focus on providing more feature and functionally to FiOS TV service allowing consumers to choose the way they watch TV.

Verizon has long been standing and this could be attributed to the growing number of FiOS TV and Internet subscribers. The FiOS television organization keeps expanding its service to reach a wider audience. Mirrored by their steady expansion over past two quarters FiOS TV showed a million increase of subscriptions marked at the end the second quarter of 2009. The Verizon market position is said to improve as the penetration of FiOS increase. Wireless system is also expected to strengthen.
